Nadya's fanfic: A Simple Play: Part 1

"Ready?" I was dressed in a nice emerald-green dress. My curls were fanned out and combed down. I wore Amil's mithril circlet and an emerald-leaf belt. My sapphire bracelet glittered as I took Nityo's hand and we skipped on the stage. behind us Telu "stalked" us, hiding behind "trees" and bushes. Running, and "crying" for my character. Telpe sullenly pouted at the edge of the stage.

"Why didn't I get a role?" He demanded. "I thought you were the best musician among us!" Telu exclaimed. "You actually wanted to play."

Telpe, my cousin sulked. Artanis, my father's cousin- and my mother's- clapped her hands. "No more talking! We have this last rehearsal, then we're live!"

We moved back in position. "Quick!" I exclaimed. "Before we're caught by anyone of them!"
"Let's move for the cave!" Nityo suggested. We hid in the "cave" made from paper. Shortly after, Telu arrived on stage. "Oh why, oh why did she run away from me?" He wailed. We stifled a snigger.
"Now only the golden-haired beast stalks and wants me. Why can it not be her? He moaned to the sky. Then freezing, he jumps and runs off. Maltariel runs forward.

"Oh I am so ugly that even wolves, sloths and slugs shall run from me!" She wept. "He wants the maiden of blazing beauty that he ignores her real love and runs away from his own!" She also ran off.

The last rehearsal went well. Ambarussa- Nityo and Telu- my father's youngest twin brothers hopped down from the stage. Maltariel and I had to support each other, holding our skirts. Telpe had a harp and flute on his lap. Artanis smiled. "Well done melloneamin!" She exclaims.
Maltariel and I smiled. She was a Vanyarin princess, Ingwe's youngest grandchild and born a few months older than me. We had decided to do a play during the Festival of the Trees of Light in Valmar, the story was about a young hunter and a maiden of Blazing Beauty- played by Nityo and me, who fell in love. But they had to run away as the hunter's brother- played by Telu- loved the maiden. In turn, he was loved by a maiden of Gold- Maltariel. Those lovelorn vowed to make sorry those who were loved and chased their loved ones all around Valinor. It was designed to make people laugh. Halfway Lord Orome the Vala and his steed Nahar arrive and at the end-  to make things right.

Just then, family members arrived. I ran and laughing, my father scooped me up and swung me into the air. Then I hugged my grandparents, Finwe, my forefather, my uncles- and pretty much everyone. I happily explained our rehearsal. Finwe laughed and stroked my hair, "Well Little One, it seems we will have a great time laughing tonight." He smiled kindly. "She's a talented one Estela." he murmured to my grandfather, takes after you in that sense, and your mother. But she looks like the two of you- and her father- as well as her mother fused."

Feanaro smiled. "Yes," he said proudly. "And she's the most talented of all my grandchildren." I saw Telpe scowled at that mention. "And she'll grow to become the most beautiful elleth."  They laughed, but I noticed when I ran to Indis- Finwe's wife- and was hugged, my grandfather's face darkened and he looked as if he would snatch me away from her. Why did he hate his own mother so?

I asked Ambarussa. They blinked. "Queen Indis isn't Atar's mother," Telu pointed out. "She's his stepmother." I was puzzled. I asked what that meant. "Who's my foremother then?" I asked.
"Queen Miriel." They both replied. I was confused. we had no queen named Miriel. They explained-
"She was King Finwe's wife, and a skilled weaver, like you. She died bearing Atar. She was really exhausted, bearing him took too much energy. After she died, Finwe married Ingwe's niece, Indis." I gasped. "People can't marry twice!" I exclaimed. But Finwe was given permission by the pitying Valar. Indis became mother to four more children- Uncles Nolofinwe and Arafinwe and Aunts Findis and Lalwen.  "But what did grandfather say?" I pestered.

Before they could answer a group of maiar arrived. One of them was dark with a chiselled lean face. Glossy, sleek black hair hung to his lean waist. His mouth was twisted angrily. Another was hurrying in his stride. He had long fair hair hanging to his shoulders and a lean face too. Three more walked behind him. One had long, brighter golden hair, the other two were silver-haired, male and female.

"-couldn't even do things right!" The dark one declared angrily.
"Mairon." The second golden one warned. "They did their best. You can't blame them if they didn't succeed to your plans. It was too ambitious."
"It was perfect!" Mairon exclaimed. "Until they ruined it."
"Olorin." The first golden one said. "Mairon is right. A simple request for perfect performance, and they spoil it." He clucked sympathetically to Mairon.
Olorin sighed. The other two looked grim.
Then they turned towards us.

"Ah!" Olorin exclaimed. "King Finwe's grandchildren!" "Great-grandchild for me actually sir," I admitted while we bowed and curtseyed. Olorin shook his head "No need to bow at us young royals. What are you up to on this fair day?" I smiled, liking him. "We were rehearsing our play for tonight's festival." "Oh, a play." He smiled. "Well I look forward to seeing it. Is it funny?" I nodded eagerly.
He chuckled. "Then you shall see me in the audience. I hope you'll like my fireworks."

Nityo's eyes widened. "You're the one who makes the fireworks? They're awesome!" He exclaimed.
Olorin laughed kindly. The first golden one sighed. "Fireworks, Olorin? We set up a wonderful performance as Maiar, and all you can think about is your fireworks?" "Ignore Curumo." Olorin said. "He and Mairon are in a terrible mood this evening." "Am Not!" Mairon shouted. The silver-haired ones sighed. "But Ilwion and Alarcaniel seem pleasant today. Although I say, anyone can be sour listening to those two." Olorin said.

"You would be sour too if you worked harder than most to set things up correctly," Mairon grumped. "Then have your plans spoiled by various incidents that require a great deal of sorting."

Olorin, Ilwion and Alarcaniel sighed.

The evening went well. The performance was enjoyed by everyone. Tears were rolling down their faces from laughter. But not everything was well in the City of Valmar.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” – Martin Luther King Jr

Through out history the death penalty has always played a prominent part from the first recording in 16th century BC ancient Egypt to now where capital punishment is still carried out in 21 countries world wide. Not only has this become one of the biggest ethical issues of our time it still remains a huge political issue. Such an inhumane legal act must leave huge implications on our society and the families that this directly affects. Does the threat of death really deter crime, from statistics and the rise of inmates we can suggest not? And what about the numerous cases where prisoners have been release from death row and acquitted of their crimes, do we really want to live in a world where the innocence are put to death all for the sake of vengeance. “An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind

My opinion piece is about abortion, and how women should have the right to choose whether they get one or not.
Here are some arguments that I may wish to investigate further/ expand on:
Statistically, the number of abortions does not change, regardless of whether they are performed in countries where it's legal or illegal, so for the safety of vulnerable women, abortion clinics should be open and available to everyone.
People who are anti-abortion should focus on contraception instead of closing abortion clinics.
Women shouldn't be forced into keeping a child that they cannot/ do not wish to support.
Pro-choice is fair, because if a woman personally doesn't want to have an abortion, she doesn't have to. Other people's choices do not affect her (or anyone else) personally.
An unborn fetus is not a human being, and cannot feel pain.

New Zealand drinking age debate.

I want to discuss the on going argument of where the drinking age should be in New Zealand. My opinion is that purchase of alcohol from supermarkets/liquor stores should be at 20 Years old, but being able to drink at bars and restaurants etc should stay at 18. I believe this would control drinkers at the age who tend to loose control when they drink, when cheaper alcohol is at such easy access.

Katie Amanda Final : Scooby Gang

“Hey kids, brave uncle Scooby’s coming up next, and he’s gonna splat those ghostlies and mash those monsties, so stayed tuned for Scooby Doobie Doooo… we got some work to do now, Scooby Dooby Doo where are you, we need some help from you now…”.

Fred hit the mute button. He scrunched up his beer can and threw it onto the mountainous pile beside the couch.

Just as he was reaching for another can, a huge violet blob blocked his view. Given he’d already had a few it took Fred a few seconds to realise the huge blob was actually his wife. The second clue for this retired member of Mystery, Inc. was the pile of washing that landed on his lap.

“Fred! Would you quit watching that crap. And I’m done sorting your greasey work overalls! Can’t you just wear something else at the garage?”

Fred wasn’t so much paying attention to the words that were coming out of his wife’s mouth, but the little chocolate bits that were flying out of it with each exclamation.

“And...munch…you…munch…know it hurts my feelings…munch…when you watch…munch…old footage of me. I have so many more wrinkles these days, it’s…munch…just not fair!”

Yes, blame the wrinkles.  Not the 50 pounds of flab rolls for the stark contrast with the youthful version of his wife playing on the screen. Fred thought it best to keep quiet. He nestled back into the couch and cracked open another beer.

The loud ring of the phone sounded as Fred found the remote again…“Well you know they would have gotten away with it, if it hadn’t of been for us meddling kids…”

In a darkened street corner, not too far from the suburban sprawl in Coolsville,
Scooby lit up his cigarette. He watched as Shaggy crawled down a vine terrace, from the opened attic window.  “You seen anything yet?” whispered Shaggy as he scanned the darkness with his torch. Scooby shook his head and Shaggy ducked beneath the bush.

Moments later he appeared clutching two wrapped paintings. “The other stuff is by the front entrance, be quick Scooby, we gotta be out in five”. Scooby stuck his nose in the air, “I’ll do it for a Scooby snack”. Shaggy shook his head as he sarcastically replied “real cute Scooby”. Scooby took his last puff and tossed the butt into the same bush Shaggy had just emerged from. The bush went up in a whoosh of smoke. “Better destroy the evidence, last thing we need is some meddling investigators digging up your footprints. He strolled across the grass grabbing the remaining items, as he heard Shaggy scrounging around in his overcoat looking to silence his ringing phone…

It was an undeniable fact that with her dark bowl haircut, a face hidden in thickly framed glasses and a shapeless figure dressed like a tangerine, Velma was often the awkward fifth wheel on the Mystery Machine. If it wasn’t for her ability to see through an unexplainable crime and unmask supernatural wannabes, Velma doubted whether she wouldn’t have been stuck at home on those outings. With a name like Velma Dace Dinkly, Velma didn’t really think she ever had a choice of the part she played. Three laser eye surgeries later, a team of hired stylists and one bow-flex body, Velma was done playing the sweet crime fighter. If you can’t be bothered beating them, join em she thought as she hung up the phone…

Shaggy and Scooby waited anxiously on the doorstep, staring at the big knocker. Before they could lift the heavy weight and break the still air with a bang, the door slowly opened. Shaggy couldn’t help but smile at the figure standing in the door frame . Gone where the knee high orange socks and the thick glasses. The Velma that greeted them, as much as her botoxed face would allow her too that is, was decked out in leather. She turned and led them down the dimly lit corridor. As they entered the fire lit room Shaggy scanned the room to find the entire Scooby gang, gathered around the table. “The Scooby gang back together…munch…one last time”, Daphne laughed as she munched a chocolate bar.

The flickering fire gave the room a sinister a feel. Velma sat up from the dining table and without hesitation began to address the rest of the Scooby gang. Her black leather glowed against the fire embers. Puzzled looks crossed Daphne’s and Fred’s faces. All of them asking the same question, “why are we here?”

“I have asked you here today for one last Scooby hoorah. For years I have played the smart nerdy one, and have put up with the sympathy looks but enough is enough”. “Tomorrow night is the Diamond Ball Art Charity Gala… and tomorrow night we will steal the painting from right under their noses”. Blame it on the botox, but Shaggy couldn’t decide if Velma was serious enough.

Before he had time to ask, the front door flew open. Outlined by the flames of the fire, stood five, eerily familiar figures. An expressionless, yet shocked Velma was the first to speak.  “Who do you think you are?” she asked the gang before her. “Who are we?” laughed the tall blond Fred look-a-like. “Thelma, Jed ,Japhne Rooby and  Shag-Lee. We’re the Rooby Roo gang, ready to bring justice to washed up crime-fighters, like yourself.”

Velma, finding it hard to scowl as she was driven away, cuffed in the back of a police car, had only one prevailing thought We damn near would’ve gotten away with it if it wasn’t for those meddling kids.

Shams Al-ani's Final: The Girl covered in Mud

When Alice fell through the rabbit-hole for the second time, she was certain that she was once again stuck in a seemingly never-ending dream; after all, she could not recount the events that had led to her fall.
"Oh no, not this dream again!", she cried.
Alice remembered the last time she had dreamed of falling through; she had awoken in a state of temporary insanity that eventually led to her admission into a psychiatric ward. Her humiliated father was so desperate to preserve the family name that he left soon after her release and told people that Alice had died in a tragic car accident.
Her perfectly fitting blue dress, ruffled and muddy and her wavy golden locks of hair now a tangled mess of curls.

Desperate, Alice began to pinch her arms in hopes of awaking herself.

"Ouch!", she exclaimed, "That really hurt. Why am I not waking up?"

Alice then spotted a brick pathway ahead and curiously decided to follow it, naively thinking that if she hurried towards the end of the path she would wake up, like what had happened in her last dream.

"I don't remember everything being so dark", Alice thought aloud, "Perhaps soon I'll find light".

Alice stepped over the dirty path of uneven bricks. Looking around, all she could see was a tree swaying side to side in the distance and nothing else. A shiver ran up her spine.

"I know! I'll sing a song", Alice nervously stated.

In the back of her mind Alice knew she was only being foolish but it was all she could do to calm herself.

"Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur...", she began.
"Happy kit-"
"I'm Popeye the Sailor man", a husky singing voice from a distance interrupted.

"I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam", the voice continued.

Alice became ecstatic; finally, a voice that wasn't her own. She hurried towards the voice and found a short man in a sailor suit sitting on the ground. An anchor tattoo covered his muscular arm and a tobacco pipe hung from the corner of his mouth.

"E-e-excuse me?", she stuttered, "But who are you?"

"Well how dare you?!", the voice angrily responded, "I am Popeye the Sailor man".

Alice noticed the needle sticking into his bulging arm.

"I do apologize, sir, but what is it that you're doing there?", Alice asked.

Popeye looked guilt-ridden and finally answered Alice's imposing question.

"How do you think I got these muscles? Think they just happened? Yeah, you and the rest of the world", Popeye responded.

"I'm trying to get to the end of this path", Alice ignored the man, "I'm actually in a dream right now and I'm trying to find the Queen of Hearts. She's the last person I saw in my first dream".

"The Queen of who? Have you've been smoking some of the good stuff? I stick to the wacky tabacky and nothing else", Popeye said.

"Never mind. I'll just have to keep walking", Alice muttered.

Alice soon noticed that the road ahead split in two paths. Popeye found himself feeling sympathetic for the girl dusted in mud.

"Take the right path. You'll come across a dirty blonde girl, much like yourself. Talk to her", Popeye offered.
"Oh, mister, thank you so much!", Alice beamed.

Taking Popeye's advice, Alice soon found herself standing in the middle of a sparkling atmosphere. Glitter surrounded her and as she looked around, a beautiful blonde lady in a blue gown appeared before her eyes.

"I", the woman spoke, "Am Cinderella. You must be Alice. Welcome, my dear".

"Hello", Alice nervously greeted the woman, "How do you know who I am?"

"My dear, soon you will learn that I know everything", Cinderella proudly stated, "I also know that you want to find your way home".

"I am trying to find the Queen of Hearts so I can finally wake up".

Cinderella laughed and Alice couldn't have been any more confused.

"Alice, this is not a dream. You are here forever", Cinderella set Alice straight.

"No, but this couldn't be", Alice stood in disbelief.

"Unless", Cinderella offered.
"What? What is it?", Alice begged, "Please, I'll do anything to go home".

"Well, I can help you find your way back home but first you must find my twin sister, Cindy, and poison her. She is the reason that I haven't inherited my mother's entire estate", Cinderella pulled out a vile of purple liquid from her pocket.

This was against Alice's morals but she hesitantly agreed.
Excitement consumed her and she started to list all of the things she would do when she made it home; she almost missed the sounds ahead.

"Shhh", the voice shushed, "She'll hear us".
The voices giggled and shushed each other and just then Alice was once again freightened.

"Who is it?", Alice asked, "Show yourselves".

Upon closer inspection Alice found two objects- a yellow sponge and a pink star.

"What are you doing?", she surprised the two objects.
"Nothing. We're just...I'm Spongebob Squarepants and this is Patrick", said the yellow sponge, "We're just...experimenting. Want some?", the sponge offered.

The pair seemed to be snorting a white powdery substance.

"No", Alice responded in a disturbed manner.
"I need to find Cindy", she continued.

"Why didn't you say so?", answered the wide-eyed star, "Continue straight until you see dust. You'll see her sweeping".

Alice continued walking until she found herself surrounded by dust, just like Patrick had mentioned.
"Excuse me, but are you Cindy?", Alice asked.

"Why yes, and you are?", said Cinderella's twin sister.

"I'm Alice. I'm sorry to trouble you but would it be alright if I joined you for supper today? It's just that I'm new here..."

"Absolutely. I love meeting new people", Cindy said.

Later that evening Alice offered to help with the cooking, making sure to add the purple liquid from the vile in to Cindy's soup bowl. Alice found herself overcome with guilt and as she watched Cindy swollow spoonfuls of soup, she sat quietly. Cindy talked for what seemed like an eternity, unaware of her fate. Alice then wondered what kind of a person would ever wish for such a loving woman's death. Second thoughts began to seep through Alice's pores and she realized that by the time she was ready to stop Cindy from eating the poison, it was too late. Alice soon found herself standing in front of Cindy's lifeless body. Her guilt turned to sadness and as her tears hit the still body, a shadow appeared. The animal's body became clearer with every step it took.

"I'm Eeyore", the donkey glumly announced, "I'm here to take you to your new home. Sorry I'm late. Well what do we have here?".

"I'm Alice. I met this lady, Cinderella I think her name was, and she told me that if I poisoned her twin sister, Cindy, Cinderella would tell me how I could get back home", Alice panicked.

"What have you done? Cindy IS Cinderella. Cinderella has had Multiple Personality Disorder for years. Up until now, everyone would just ignore her pleas", Eeyore said.

"Oh no, this is a disaster! I'll never find my way home", Alice sulked.

"Alice, while you have committed an unspeakable act out of foolishness, you must understand that you are bound to this kingdom forever. There is no way of returning home", Eeyore warned.

"I just want to go home", Alice began to cry.

Alice sat sobbing next to Cindy's cold body. Eeyore almost felt sympathetic for the ruffled girl.

"I can't get you home but I can help you make a new one", Eeyore offered.

Alice then realized the good in staying.

"Mr Eeyore, sir, do you think I could stay with you? at least until I get used to this place? I've been lonely since my father left me and I've met kind people here", Alice rambled.

"Just don't get in my way", Eeyore coldly responded.

It became the only real home Alice knew. From then on people cared for her. Two days following Cindy's death, Eeyore overdosed on Spongebob's drug stash and Alice kept her involvement in Cindy's murder to herself. After all, Alice did always appreciate a happy ending, even if she was the only one who saw it that way.

The house was at peace; Jan was tucked away studying diligently in her room. Alice was preparing the usual supper, pork chops… apple sauce. Mr and Mrs Brady were nowhere to be seen. Jan was the daughter of Carol. A widowed woman newly wed to Mike Brady, also a widow. Mike was a highly successful architect, one in which allowed is wallet to rule his life. It wasn't unusual for Jan and Alice to have the house to themselves. Mike had no children of his own, so from the moment Carol and Jan had moved into his 3 floor town house, Alice, the live in house keeper was hired and took on all household duties as Carol was whisked away in style by Mike. They ate out basically every night and

Jan developed to be somewhat of an outcast. Jan was often made fun of for her mind wandering ways, she was continuously caught with her head in the clouds. She found herself daydreaming day to day of the luxury life would be if she just had a few siblings.

“Oh Alice, why do I have to be an only child! Why couldn't I of just had a sister, or even a brother.” Jan protested. “I’m going to have a huge family when I’m older! I’m going to have 3 girls and 3 boys, it’ll be a dream! My children will never feel alone.”

“Well Jan you will have very happy family, go wash up for supper now.” Alice responded.

Jan had caught a glimpse of Mr and Mrs Summers next-door settling down for the evening with their 3 kids Greg, Marcia and Cindy. In her eyes, that was perfection, a truly happy family! They had family to take vacations with and siblings to enter talent shows with. Jan immensely envied what they had.

“Oh Mike” Carol whispered “what an outstanding evening, you sure know how to spoil a girl.”

“Well you deserve the best Honey.” Mike smugly replied.

“Um Hello? Mom I thought you were picking me up after school? We were supposed to go shopping; I need a new dress for this weekends dance!”

“Oh Jan, just let it go would you? Mike had a surprise evening arranged, what do you want me to do?” Carol said.

“Don’t blame your mother Jan, it’s my fault, here buy yourself something nice.” Mike patronizingly interrupted whilst handing over a $100 note.

“Mike Mike Mike! Do I even exist” Jan mumbled as she stormed to her room.

Carol and Mike shared a look as they smirked at their dramatic teen over reacting as always.
On the surface the Brady’s portray as an immaculate cheerful modern day family. But the sense of peace very rarely lasted. Mike and Carol lived their lush lifestyle whilst Jan struggled day to day all alone. Jan never had many friends. Marcia, Greg and Cindy from next-door were the closest companions she had ever really had.

After her infuriating evening Jan woke up that crisp summer morning feeling empowered. She had decided something that night, she wasn’t going to moan about dreaming of the what ifs. She wasn’t going to accept Mikes charity, she was going to make her own dress for the dance that night and she was going to go, even if that meant going at it alone.

Alice was away for the weekend, and Mike and Carol were typically not about.

“Perfect” Jan proclaimed with a sigh of relief. Set up outside Jan happily sat alone, needle and thread and an old dress she had worn to the previous year’s dance, as well as an old cardigan that no longer fit her.

“Good Morning Jan! What are you doing over there?” Asked Mrs Summers over the fence.

“Oh, hi! I’m making myself a dress, for the dance tonight you know.” Jan proudly replied.

“Well. You better come over here then, it’s going to take you all week with that needle and thread, come on and I can help you with my machine.”

Jan was ecstatic, quickly bundling up her belongings she ran next door.

Together they spent all morning perfecting Jan’s recycled dress, Mrs Summers had plenty of beautiful fabric spare to contribute to their master piece. Within just a few short hours they had done it! Jan had a beautifully handmade dress ready for the dance tonight hours before time.
Jan stayed at the Summer’s all day, played with little Cindy and helped Marcia prepare lunch.

“Well I guess I should get home now, the dance is only in a couple of hours and I need to get ready in time to walk.” Jan announced.

“We can’t have that!” Marcia claimed. “Why don’t you come with Greg and I?”

“That would be wonderful… if you’re sure I’m not overstaying my welcome,” Said Jan.

The entire day felt like a dream, Jan couldn't have been happier. Mrs Summers braided her and Marcia’s hair for the dance and Jan felt truly included. Together she Marcia and Greg all headed out to the dance, it was the most perfect day Jan had ever had. The dance was so much fun and she really felt as if she belonged. The summers had taught her what family was.

Returning home Jan was apprehensive, she didn't know what Carol was going to say, she was gone all day and evening without explanation! “Is she going to be mad? Worried? What will she say!”
Quietly opening the door Carol looked shocked.

“Wow Jan you found a dress did you?” Mike proudly stated “No need to thank me, was my pleasure I am glad to help.”

“Had fun did you Jan?” Carol asked.

“Yep” Jan politely replied, slightly confused as to what Mike was on about, forgetting about his pitiful attempt at helping her find a dress by throwing money at her, and slightly offended that Carol wasn't concerned, but not bothered all that much at all.

Jan put herself to bed that night with an uncontrollable smile. She was overjoyed. Although she never felt at home with Carol and Mike, she always knew there was a place right for her nearby, and that one day she was able to make her children feel the way in which the Summer’s family taught her to feel.

Shams' final story (without references as of yet)

It's a bit longer than it should be but I found that any more deleting would result in a confusing story line.

Story:
When Alice fell through the rabbit-hole for the second time, she was certain that she was once again stuck in a seemingly never-ending dream; after all, she could not recount the events that had led to her fall.
"Oh no, not this dream again!", she cried.
Alice remembered the last time she had dreamed of falling through; she had awoken in a state of temporary insanity that eventually led to her admission into a psychiatric ward. Her humiliated father was so desperate to preserve the family name that he left soon after her release and told people that Alice had died in a tragic car accident.
Her perfectly fitting blue dress, ruffled and muddy; her wavy golden locks of hair now a tangled mess of curls and a graze on her right knee.

"That's funny", Alice thought aloud, "I don't remember everything being so dark. Maybe soon I'll find light".
Alice watched as her once-shiny black shoes stepped over the dirty path of unordered bricks. Looking around, all she could see was a faint tree swaying side to side in the distance and nothing else. A shiver ran up her spine.
"I know! I'll sing a song", Alice nervously stated.
In the back of her mind Alice knew she was only being foolish but it was the only thing she could do to calm herself.
"Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur...",, she began.
"Happy kit-"
"I'm Popeye the Sailor man", a husky singing voice from a distance interrupted Alice.
"I'm Popeye the sailor man, I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam", the voice continued.
Alice became ecstatic; finally, a voice that wasn't her own. She hurried towards the voice and found a short man wearing a sailor suit sitting on the ground. An anchor tattoo covered his muscular arm and a tobacco pipe hung from the corner of his mouth.
"E-e-excuse me?", she stuttered, "But who are you?"
"Who am I? Well how dare you?!", the voice angrily responded, "I am Popeye the Sailor man. I'm clearly busy so you are to leave at once".
Alice looked down and noticed a needle sticking into his bulging arm.
"Oh I do apologize, sir, but what is it that you're doing there?", Alice asked.
Popeye looked guilt-ridden and finally answered Alice's imposing question.
"How do you think I got these muscles, huh? You think they just happened? Yeah, you and the rest of the world", Popeye responded.
Alice, stunned, chose to ignore Popeye's steroid reference.
"I'm trying to get to the end of this path. You see, I'm actually in a dream right now", Alice only realized how insane she sounded when she noticed the blank stare that Popeye shot at her.
"I'm trying to find the Queen of Hearts. She's one of the last people I saw in my first dream".
"The Queen of who? Have you've been smoking some of the good stuff? Because I don't do that. I stick to the wacky tabacky and nothing else", Popeye said.
"Oh never mind. I'll just have to keep walking", Alice muttered.
As she was about to continue her journey, Alice noticed that the road ahead split in two paths. The look on her face said it all and suddenly Popeye found himself feeling sorry for the girl dusted in mud.
"Listen, take the right path. You'll come across a dirty blonde girl, much like yourself. She'll help you find your way to wherever the heck you want to go", Popeye offered.
"Oh thanks, mister, thank you so much!", a ray of hope began to show on Alice's stained face.
Taking Popeye's advice, she took the right pathway. Alice soon found herself standing in the middle of a bright and sparkling atmosphere. Glitter seeemed to surround her and suddenly as she looked around, a beautiful blonde lady in a blue gown appeared right before her eyes.
"I", the woman began to speak, "Am Cinderella. You must be Alice. Welcome, my dear".
"Hello", Alice nervously greeted the woman, "How do you know who I am?"
"My dear, soon you will learn that I know everything", Cinderella proudly stated, "I also know that you want to find your way home".
"I am trying to find the Queen of Hearts so I can end this dream and wake up".
Cinderella laughed and Alice couldn't have been any more confused than she was then.
"Alice, this is not a dream. You are here forever", Cinderella set Alice straight.
"No, but this couldn't be", Alice stood in disbelief.
"Unless", Cinderella offered.
"What? What is it?", Alice begged, "Please, I'll do anything to go home".
"Well, I can help you find your way back home but first you are to find my twin sister, Cindy, and poison her. That wreck is the reason that I haven't inherited my mother's entire estate", Cinderella pulled out a vile of purple liquid from what seemed to be out of nowhere.
This was against Alice's morals but she hesitantly agreed.
Excitement consumed her and she started to list all of the things she would do when she finally made it home; she almost missed the sounds coming from a distance.
"Shhh", the voice shushed, "She'll hear us".
The voices giggled and shushed each other and just then Alice once again found herself feeling freightened.
"Who is it?", Alice loudly asked, "Who's there? Show yourselves".
On closer inspection Alice found two objects- a yellow sponge and a pink star, sitting by a large tree.
"What are you doing?", she surprised the two objects.
"Nothing. We're just...I'm Spongebob Squarepants and this is Patrick Star", said the yellow sponge, "We're just...erm...experimenting. You want some?", the sponge offered.
The pair seemed to be snorting a white powdery substance.
"No, thank you", Alice responded in a disturbed manner.
"Look, I need to find a girl named Cindy", she continued.
"Well why didn't you say so?", answered the glassy wide-eyed star, "Keep going straight until you're surrounded by dust.
It's just that I'm new here and very alone..."
"Why absolutely. I always love meeting new people", Cindy said.
Alice waited with Cindy until later that evening. Offering to help with the cooking, she made sure to add the purple liquid from the vile in to Cindy's soup bowl. Alice found herself overcome with guilt and as she watched Cindy swollow spoonfuls of soup, she sat quietly. Cindy talked for what seemed like an eternity, completely unaware of her fate. She seemed like a charming person; Alice wondered what kind of a person would ever wish for such a loving woman's death. Second thoughts began to seep through Alice's pores and she realized that by the time she was ready to stop Cindy from eating the poison, it was too late. Alice eventually found herself standing in front of Cindy's lifeless body, laying on the hard ground. Her guilt turned to sadness and as her tears hit the still body, a shadow appeared. The animal's body became clearer with every step it took towards Alice.
"I'm Eeyore", the donkey glumly announced, "I'm here to take you to your new home. Sorry I'm late but I guess when you've lost the will to live, time means nothing. Well what do we have here?".
"I'm Alice. I met this lady, Cinderella I think her name was, and she told me that if I poisoned her twin sister, Cindy, Cinderella would tell me how I can get back home", Alice panicked.
"Alice, what have you done? Cindy IS Cinderella. It's a known fact that Cinderella has had Multiple Personality Disorder for years. Up until now, everyone would just ignore her pleas", Eeyore said.
"Oh no, this is a disaster! Now I'll never find my way home", Alice sulked.
"Alice, while you have commited an unspeakable act out of foolishness, you must understand that you are bound to this kingdom forever. There is no way of you returning home so you may as well make the best of it", Eeyore warned.
"Well what can i do? I just want to go home", Alice began to cry.
Alice sat sobbing next to Cindy's cold body. Eeyore almost felt sympathetic for the upset girl.
"I can't get you home but I can help you make a new one", Eeyore offered.
Alice had always dreaded unhappy endings in stories but now she started to see the good in staying.
"Mr Eeyore, sir, do you think I could stay with you? atleast for the time being, until I get used to this place? It's just that I've been very lonely ever since my father left me and I've met very kind people here", Alice rambled.
"As long as you don't get in my way", Eeyore coldly responded.
It became the only real home Alice knew. People cared for her and she always had a helping hand from then on. Two days following Cindy's death, Eeyore had overdosed on Spongebob's drug stash and Alice kept her involvement in Cindy's murder to herself. After all, Alice did always appreciate a happy ending, even if she was the only one who saw it that way.

Twist of Cinderella (Jessica's Final)

The Original story is called "Cinderella" by Walt Disney pictures. This story has been edited for entertainment purposes only.

This is a story about a girl named Cinderella. She was once a kind girl that cared for the other, until her parents death that made her feel she has lost everything and had nothing left in the world. Her anger went towards her two kind step sisters. As years passed by, they were invited to the grand ball, the Prince was looking for his princess.

"O wow, Cinderella this is lovely" said one

"It’s gorgeous..." said the other.

Both step sisters were holding on to the dress very tightly and recklessly fought over to hold on to the dress.

"If you don’t mind sister, I will hold on to it first." said one

"No. I will thank you very much."

They were pulling and tugging on to the dress like a rope...

 "Stop it!" Cinderella shouted

...and ripped the dress apart.

The room was filled with silence; the step sisters were able to fill the anger and shock of Cinderella's reaction. Cinderella yelled and screamed and pushed the both sisters on to the ground.

"How dare you! My mother’s dress!" She shouted,

Her step mother ran up to Cinderella's room and shouted "Stop!"

Cinderella was just about to slap her sisters.

"What is going on here?" Step mother asked with a disappointing look on her face.

"They... They ripped my mother’s dress!" Cinderella cried with anger and sorrow.

The step mother was told what has happened and she came to a decision.

"Cinderella. I am grounding you from going to the ball."

"What? Come again?" Cinderella was shocked.

"This is not just about the actions you have made today but also all these years you been making your sisters do all your chores and threatening them. Yes, I’ve seen it all. We will put this all behind after the ball." Step mother stated very clearly.

...

The day of the loyal ball Cinderella was locked inside her room.
She was crying, screaming and shouting, thinking of her past when she had her parents.
Then. *poof* three fairies dresses in blue, green and pink came to help her to go to the ball. Cinderella was grateful. So grateful that she grabbed the three wands and put the fairies in to the cage and prepared herself for the loyal ball.

"O dear." the three fairies were worried, but did not panic.

They put a spell on her eyes, a spell so that what she sees as a beast will appear as a handsome prince.

"The wand cannot stay away from us for long. Only till midnight your free." warned the blue fairy

Cinderella head to the ball with the three wands, she planned a way to ruin the ball.

There was music everywhere, soft and quite music. People were dancing, eating and talking until the announcement.

“The Prince” said the announcer.

“O my…” said a lady.

“O dear…” said the other.

Rumours were true, he is a beast, and however, people were not afraid.
Prince was looking for his true love, the first kiss, to break his curse and live happily ever after.
To the left to the right he was looking over the ball but yet he found his love.

“O no!” a women screamed.

“HAHAHA having fun were you? Without me? How rude.” Cinderella laughed with an evil voice.

She has frozen a man that was in her way of the entrance.
As the beast turned around to see her and fell in love. He loved how gorgeous she was, the eyes, nose, mouth, everything. He did not see the evil in her.

The step sisters tried to stop her, but it made her even angrier, she made her two sisters in to a frog. She laughed away and kept freezing people until it came around to the beast. Her eyes wide opened, step by step went closer to him.

“Who… are you?” asked Cinderella.

She dropped her three wands, and those wands disappeared.
They got closer together and looked in to each other’s eyes. They felt like they were reading off each other’s mind.

Until then,

“Guards!! Take her away to the dungeon!” said the King.
Cinderella was grabbed by the wrist, she tried to get away, and she wanted to be close to the beast.

“No! Father stop this non-sense!” said the Prince.

“Non-sense? How can this be a non-sense?” asked the King with an angry voice.

“Father I love her…” He confessed and ran up to kiss Cinderella.

Lights came out of nowhere; the Prince was changing back one by one. Cinderella could only then see the beast, but she was not surprised, she was happier than ever.
As Prince changed back to his full self, everyone celebrated.
Music got louder, people laughed and danced.

“We shall forget about the past, and look forward to the future. I announce Cinderella as my son’s wife, and I am truly happy for both of you. Cheers!” said the King.

“Thank you, your highness. We will live happily ever after” she replied with the tears of joy and kissed the Prince.

Once upon a time there was a sweet young girl named Cinderella. She was an ordinary girl in an ordinary family until she lost her mother. Her father met a kind lady from a neighbourhood town during his time of work and brought her home with her two daughters, Cinderella did not like them, however, tried her best for her loving father. Few month later Cinderella lost her father as well. She felt she lost everything she cared in the world and the kindness she had turned in to hatred.

Cinderella would wake up late in a big dark room with no light. She never opened the curtains after her parents death. She would walk out of her room, eat her breakfast, go out to town for shopping and come back for dinner.

Years pass and Cinderella turned eighteen, her anger and sadness were put through to her step sisters.

"Cinderella, would you mind doing the dishes?" asked the kind step mother.

"Of course step mother." she replied with a fake smile on her face.

Her step mother gave her a back warm smile and walked out of the room with the laundry.

"Girl's! Get in here!... NOW!" She summoned her step sisters like they were servants.

"Do the dishes for me would you? I do not want to get my beautiful hands in the soaking water... and you also know what happens to your precious dresses IF you disobey me... yes?" Cinderella was holding a dress on one hand and scissors on the other. The sisters could not resist and did the dishes.

This happened anytime Cinderella had her chores around the house and it was not going to change anytime soon.

...

-knock knock-
The stepmother opened the door gently and greeted the person that came.

"The King and Queen has invited you and your daughters to the loyal ball to seek for a Princess" says the visitor.

Cinderella and the step sisters over heard the visitor talking and ran across the hall to read the invitation.

The people in town had a rumor. A rumor that the prince was a beast, cursed when he was young by an evil witch. When he gets his true loves kiss, he will turn back in to a human. However, citizens did not care because the rumor also say that the beast has a personality soft as a feather.

"Girls... patient... please." Stepmother laughed in a lovely voice but the girls could not take their eyes off the letter and pushed each other away to have each of their turn to read it.

The girls ran into each of their rooms to get changed to shop for new dresses for the ball.

...

They were walking down store to store to find the perfect dress.

"I want something pink." said one of the step sisters.

"I want yellow! What about you Cinderella?" said the other.

"Something that is better than both of yours. hmph" she stated and walked off.

As time passed the step sisters found their dresses, however, Cinderella was still looking for her perfect dress.

"We have to go home now Cinderella... All the shops are closing and it is getting dark." said the step sisters in a careful voice.

"O, we are going back since you two have your dresses? Too tired after all those time looking for yours and don't have the time to find mine?!?" Cinderella growled at them.

"We were hunting for your dress for hours..." said one

"I do not want to hear it. I'll find mine myself." Cinderella walked off to the next store.

"Should we wait...?" said the other

"No... She will go on for ages..."

...

Cinderella was still looking for her perfect dress until no store let her in because of the closing time.

"How rude. They don't want my money? Selfish of them." Cinderella had to walk home with nothing but sore feet.

As she arrived home she felt embarrassed because she was unable to find her dress. She walked in quietly in to her room and cried. "Only if mother was here..." she hoped, lying on her bed looking above she wished something good happened for her until she found an entrance to the attic above her room. With a sneeze, she found a familiar box covered by dust, she brought it down to her room and opened the box.

"O, wow..." She rubbed her eyes and blink couple of times.

"I cannot believe it! Yes! This is it! Thank you mother, thank you!" She was filled with joy for the first time in years.
She found her mothers gorgeous dress and she remembered her mother saying "When you grow older, I will give this to you as your birthday present."
Cinderella was able to sleep comfortably and her mind was filled with happiness rather than hatred.
...

Cinderella woke up in the morning and opened her curtains. Her mind was bright and had a warm smile on her face. She went over to the dining room to great her step mother and sisters. The step sisters were curious about her perfect dress that Cinderella was complaining about because she was all lovely and bright, they asked nicely if they could see the dress. Cinderella took them up to her room and showed them the dress.

"O wow, Cinderella this is lovely" said one

"It is gorgeous..." said the other.

Both step sisters were holding on to the dress very tightly and recklessly fought over to hold on to the dress.
